Ms. Pride of the South Pageant 2025
What is Ms. Pride of the South?
Calling all Pride Pageant holders from across the Southeast (TN, GA, NC, SC, AL & FL) who are looking to show their talents and expand their exposure to other areas. On February 14th-16th, the Ms. Pride of the South Pageant is holding their 1st annual pageant hosted by Metropolis Entertainment Complex of Augusta and emceed by Carla Cox from Columbia, SC.
Our goal is to provide a regional platform for drag performers to gather and share their talents to an audience that may be unfamiliar with them, and also to give pageant title holders of a Pride competition a chance to gain recognition outside their home areas.
Ms. Pride of the South is a 3-day co-ed event that starts on Friday, February 14th and runs through Sunday, February 16th.
What are the categories?
Along with a Personal Interview, the pageant categories this year will be Creative Presentation, Evening Gown, On-Stage Q & A, and of course Talent. All, except the Personal Interview, will be performed in front of both judges and a live audience at Edge Nightclub in Augusta.
Weekend activities.
The weekend of activities starts off Friday night with the Rainbow Carnival / Valentines Day Celebration held at Capri Lounge, then followed by a bonfire gathering at the resort's firepit. Then, on Saturday, the pageantry begins with rehearsals, personal interviews, and the competition in the evening at Edge Nightclub. On Sunday, there will be an awards brunch held at Capri Lounge for all the participants and guests. The resort has other amenities to enjoy when you're not busy.
The Hosting Resort.
Metropolis Entertainment Complex of Augusta is a resort comprised of 2 hotels, 2 bars and 2 seasonal salt water swimming pools. It also has an on-site café that is open during various hours so you don't have to venture off property for food.
Entry fee, costs, and winner's prize.
CONTESTANTS:
For the pageant, there is a $100 entry fee for those who wish to compete. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1000 cash prize and the opportunity to come back to Edge Nightclub to perform.
THE FIRST 8 CONTESTANTS WHO PAY THEIR $100 ENTRY FEE WILL RECEIVE A FREE ROOM DURING THE PAGEANT! So, act fast!
ATTENDEES:
For those just wanting to attend the event and activities, there is a VIP Pass available for $50 (included when you stay at the resort) to get in to all the weekend's activities.
ROOM PRICES:
Rooms at the resort are available for the weekend starting at $79/night Friday & Saturday, and $64 for Sunday night.
